TheCanopy Bridge is surfaced but needs railings, but the Harvest River Bridge still needs a surface AND railings. We're looking forward to a soft opening from Mattapan Square to Central Ave. around mid to late November. (Photos by Jessica Mink)

A second public meeting on the reconstruction of Morrissey Blvd., which includes a significant segment of the Neponset Trail was held on September 27. The full PDF presentation is here.

The segment from Victory Rd. north to Morrissey Blvd., which bypasses the Southeast Expressway exit ramp, is scheduled to be fully designed by the end of 2016, but the legislature needs to designate money to build it.
The segment between Tenean Beach and Victory Rd. is owned by the Mass. Department of Transportation as frontage for the Southeast Expressway. DCR and MassDOT are starting to work together on this.
